About This Site

No reservations are necessary. There will be many activities and chances to explore this historic landmark and piece of Northwest history.  Be sure to take the Shuttle provided from Magnuson Park.  There will be signs and event staff there to assist.

There will
be no parking on the Lochkelden grounds, or in the Windermere neighborhood.

 

Grounds Open        10:00am

 

Opening Ceremony 11:00am

 

Welcoming address by members of the Rolland Denny Mansion's Centennial Committee.

 

 

Tour of the Grounds

 

Self guided tours.

 

 

Tour of the Mansion

 

After opening ceremonies, tours will be conducted by MOHAI and given on the hour, continuing throughout the day until closing at 4:00pm.  MOHAI Tours will include the exterior of the Mansion, and the ground floor interior.

 

 

Historic Displays

 

Limited engagement of historic photos & artifacts will be on display on the grounds, representing Seattle's past. Including vintage automobiles from James Bacon's Automotive Collection, a fire truck from the Last Resort Fire Department, and the Vital Spark steam boat.

 

 

Entertainment

 

 There will be entertainment throughout the day.  Participants include the Duwamish Tribe Youth Dancers, the International Sung Hak Choir, The Blue Four Trio and John Engerman (piano 3:30pm - 4:00pm).
